Want to thanks all the folks of IPMS/USA for
their support to our group. We also wile to
extend a special thanks to the members of
Region 11, Florida, for having had us in their
ranks. They are not physically close, but from
the bottom of our hearts we feel part of
Region 11 and still working with them.  
Presently we belong to Region 13, the virtual
region and we will continue doing the very
best, like it is our tradition. A very special
thank to Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Dave, Mrs. Mary
Jane and B. Hester, to thrust me the pass 5
years. And thanks to the Local Members to
believe in IPMS and what this
represent.

To continue celebrating the 5 years we are
opening a new  web page. www.ipmspr.org, I
hope to continue serving always as I’m doing
at this moment. "For the Modelers, By
Modelers"

IPMS-PR is about-- our members, our work

Hello and welcome to the IPMS-PR new website.
This site contains the latest information and
images of scale modeling in Puerto Rico. It is
our mission to continue the great tradition of
scale modeling in PR and encourage modelers
and people that will like to be modelers to join
our ranks. Our vision is of taking this form of
plastic art to all people, children, young adults
and adults as well and offer them a choice and
an alternative to develop their abilities and
talents.

It is with great honor that we present to you our
humble work and hope our viewers get inspired
to return to modeling or to start modeling as a
form of a very rewarding hobby.

Short History of the IPMS/ Puerto Rico Charter

Founded 2003 in San Juan, by Mr. Roberto Espada past member and Mr. Jose Rivera actual
member, this charter started implementing the concept of organization, based on the
IPMS-USA rules and regs focused in embracing scale modeling at its best. During the first 2
years, we tried to keep the charter working but we struggled to survive, mainly due to need
of good leadership. The third year, Mr. R. Espada retired from the chapter and G. Mustafa
actual member and president joined, and together, with his vision and keen leadership style,
we started to grow and progress. Five years later, IPMS/Puerto Rico Charter has an
extensive calendar of event's, exhibitions and shows, and our very own official web page
with great information, images of events, links, organizational mail to all members, and
even a group uniform that represent us well. We embrace the diversity of thought and of
people in our ranks. We have a female modeler and a 4 year old, son of one of our
members, that has already built (assisted of course) his first model. Thanks to a solid team,
united by a strong passion for scale modeling and directed by a great leader, IPMS-PR is on
the road of success for years to come.

Thanks to our webmaster, Jose Rivera, this great web page is available to everyone.

With this short history we illustrate that even the most serious of organizations need good
leadership, team work and focus in order to raise the bar of excellence and become an
organization of choice for scale modeling.
